SHE SAID:
With over 900km to cover
today we hit the road before 7am. The roads were fairly empty, &
we made good time. Morning tea was early, at
Port Augusta, & lunch was at the quaint village of Burra. We stopped
for photos at the “Giant Gum Tree” near Orroroo & at the
Orroroo town sign.
Crossing into Victoria &
heading for Mildura we saw several fields full of emus; there were
dozens & dozens if not 100's. They were seemingly wild, as the fences around
the fields were quite low, & there were no gates to lock them in!
The fields looked as though they had been recently harvested, so we
guess there were some easy pickings there for them!
We spent the night at the
Robinvale Bridge Motel, & enjoyed a good feed at the attached tavern.

HE SAID:
We were on the road for about 11 hours today, and covered almost one thousand kilometers. It was drama-free, just a couple of very minor observings of dills being dills on the road.
