SHE
SAID:
With
it being Greg's birthday today, Geoff suggested we take him out to
the Calwell Club for lunch, if he was up for it. He was. It was
lovely to see him out of the nursing home. Geoff
played chauffeur & escort with Val & Paul throughout the day.
I
did a dash up to Red Hill for the sunset, which wasn't exciting, but
I hung around for the night lights across the city, & got a few
shots off.

The lunch out at Calwell was Dad's first outing since moving in to the nursing home. I thought we should have had a practice run, but the weather wasn't kind enough for it in the days leading up to his birthday. The club and the meal were both good. In fact, the chef even made a special effort to get Dad's soup just right. Dad was pleased indeed, and said it was one of the best soups he had ever had. High praise indeed.
