SHE
SAID:
As
predicted, the wet weather was on us today.
We
headed to the wine region of Rutherglen, staying mainly in the car,
doing the tourist drive. We checked out the Pfeiffer Winery (which we went to about 18 years ago), All Saints
Estate, & stopped for lunch at the Calico Town vineyard, which
also sells Wicked Virgin Olive Oil products. The
wines with lunch were nice, as was the hearty soup, but what they did
with the Scotch Egg was a mystery; it was VERY average!
The
rain continued so we called it a day, hibernating inside Bertie for
the afternoon & evening.
The Victoria Hotel in Rutherglen; it was once a mortuary & stables.

Not usually a huge topic of conversion, the soup at Calico Town was bloody good!
