SAID:
I
thought it was going to be wet all day for our final day here in
Chiltern. But the forecast seems to have changed. Afternoon showers
are predicted!
I
was keen to finish yesterday's drive, & we headed off in the
National Park again. We spotted heaps of fungi of varying shapes &
colours. Not so much on the orchid front though. We found lots of
basal leaves without buds or flowers, but there was one more Greenhood for me
to get down into the dirt, & photograph though.
There
is a possibility we may return in about 5 weeks on our travels back
to Canberra, now I know there are a lot of orchids coming on in the
area!
Geoff
got to enjoy the AFL on TV, as the predicted rain arrived around 2pm.

HE SAID:
Varena's enthusiasm for photographing orchids had her in a shallow hole on her knees, hunched over in the mud, trying to get a good shot of an orchid I found. I must have racked up a heap of brownie points for the find, but lost most of them due to the difficult location! Surely that was not MY fault?
