WHAT
A DAY!
Geoff
has excelled himself in the orchid hunt; he is "THE MAN"!
I
have counted up our finds for the day & I think we have seen 10
different flowering types of orchid & a further 4 types of orchid
basal leaf, not flowering yet!
A foggy start in the Grampians this morning |
But the flowers were still spottable! |
Beehive Falls |
Someone was after our lunch...
all they got were the crumbs from our laps
|
HUGE "drop-bears" in the Grampians! |
Look at that nose! |
Another "big" thing for Australia..
There are big fish, pineapples, bananas, rocking horses ...the list goes on!
|
Stately Helmet Orchid - Corybas (Corysanthes) diemenicus |
Slaty Helmet Orchid - Corybas (Corysanthes) incurvus
|
Red Banded Greenhood
