Today
it was Mick & Jacqui's “Xmas in August” annual gathering of
old friends lunch. And we just happened to be staying on just the
right weekend to join in!
It
was a chaotic, fun filled, food & drink bonanza. There were 13 of
us for lunch, including 2 under 10 years old girls, plus a dog &
Jelly the cat. Everyone seemed to have a great day; much food &
drink was consumed by all.

In preparation for the gathering Mick had got up around 7 to get the lamb cooking. Jac and Varena helped out throughout the morning, with my main contribution being avoidance of the kitchen; there were enough cooks in there already, and listening to what was going on made me know that I had chosen well.
The food was delicious! And the company good too. We had a great afternoon.
