This
morning I was up early, I went down to the Molonglo River to join in
a Platypus survey. Geoff had seen it advertised on a Canberra
website, & thought I might be interested.
It
was well organised, having done for the past 7 years, every August.
Teams of 2 people were spread along the river, with binoculars &
survey forms to fill in. There were about 14 of us in this area, with
another bunch along the Jerrabomberra Creek, a bit further down
stream.
Sadly
I didn't see any platypus, though a couple were seen by others in the
group...maybe next time!
The
rest of the day was uneventful. I packed for our trip to Sydney
tomorrow, & cut Geoff's hair after lunch.

We had the ute detailed today. It was in need of a good tub, and having it done properly should give us a feel-good feeling for a little while...
