SHE
SAID:
We
had a chauffeur-driven drive up to the Hydro Majestic Hotel today. Our
friends from Winmalee offered to take us up in their 1950's & 2008
MGs. Lindsay is an MG nut from years ago, & now has two. Jan
can't go in the old one any more, but is happy in the newer model
We
had lunch in the old Boiler House, then went into the main part of
the hotel for a sticky-beak at the renovations. It was very
nice.
We
were also out for dinner, around to Col & Pat's place. Pat put on
a lovely meal & we stayed there till well after 9pm.

HE SAID:
Our rides to and from the Hydro were cool. The 1959 MG-A seemed to be real car, with no mod-cons; even the driver's side wing mirror was an optional extra..Lunch was predictably overpriced, but the view was good.
Dinner with Pat and Col was very enjoyable too. We discussed a very wide range of topics, and Blue the Shearer (Col) gave a rendition of a rather blue poem, much to the amusement of Varena and me.
