SHE SAID:

The plan was to relax at the van today; which is pretty much what we did. I thought Geoff might try his hand at fishing but he didn't seem bothered. Maybe watching the herons having some success put him off.

I did duck into town for fuel & a few grocery bits; there wasn't much to Chinchilla. Nothing worth photographing anyhow.

HE SAID:

We had planned for today to be a lazy day. Success!

But here is an update on our fuel use since leaving Darwin in September 2010. We have:
  • Spent $36210 on fuel,
  • Refuelled 288 times,
  • Travelled 171000km,
  • Been on the road for 2389 days,
  • Averaged 71 kilometres per day,
  • Had a 41% improvement in fuel economy with the Colorado over the Patrol.
