SHE SAID:

Our trip north starts properly today.

We thanked Annette for the use of her front lawn & headed for Gloucester. The drive was uneventful; the most exciting part was counting 133 caravans along the way!

Gloucester Holiday Park is large, spacious & friendly; we parked & had lunch. Wandering into town after lunch we found it was a quaint place, full of cafes, & mainly closed for the day businesses. I guess being a Saturday it's a half day trading.

The thunder & rain arrived about ½ hour after we returned to Bertie; good timing I'd say.

PS These photos are even earlier, on our wanderings around Newcastle, the week before last.

We set up camp using a couple of extra bits that I lazily only set up sometimes. This time I put out the shade-cloth mat and the privacy screen. It makes the site seem a little more established.
