SHE SAID:

We had a semi tourists' day out today. We got our errands done in Innisfail by late morning, so we checked out Etty Bay, a pretty beach & bay, where swimming is possible due to the stinger nets in the water.

A semi-tame Cassowary lives here, & it seems to enjoy having people stalking it taking photos. I also saw a large Lace Monitor wandering around near the caravan park.

Both Cowley Bay & Kurrimine Bay were on the way back to Djarawong, so we had a brief stop at each. Both of these beaches were human free, with the chance of being stung by jellyfish or bitten by a crocodile stopping the enjoyment of these lovely scenic places.

Before we went sight-seeing it was in to the doctor for my annual skin check. I was not so lucky this time, needing a few spots cryogenically treated, and one thing cut out and sent away for analysis. Hopefully it is just an eager doctor, not a skin problem.
