Another early start today, this time we are off to Perth for an appointment with the “head” specialist for Geoff. We have been waiting since March for this private appointment! It was a 2 ½ hour drive, but we left early in case of hold-ups on the highway into the city. There wasn’t any so we had time for a cuppa before the appointment.

Dr Seet is the most qualified doctor in WA dealing with Migraine/Vertigo etc so we were hopeful of a diagnosis. The examination was very thorough, going through every question that Geoff had answered on the questionnaire he had been sent in March. Dr Seet expected precise answers. This was hard for Geoff; some things happened years ago, & he hadn't kept precise records since the first migraine episode started.

Anyhow, answers were produced, though cures/fixes are harder to come by!

Geoff had a 2nd appointment for the twice-yearly skin cancer check, this was in Dalyellup, on the way back from Perth. 

We got back to Dorte & Gary’s at 5.15pm. We joined them for drinks on the deck for a while, along with Jess, who had arrived too.

Off early again. The drive up to Perth was drama-free, giving us time for a cuppa before my appointment. I had been told that the doctor had a strange personality, and I guess he did in a way, wanting precise answers, but overall he was fine. He gave a definite diagnosis, which was a relief, and now I just need an MRI and follow-up appointment to rule out some things.

Varena and I had dinner in the van, as we had a few things to do, and also some leftovers to use up.
