SHE SAID:

We had homemade Rock Buns for morning tea. I haven't made them for a while & they went down well.

After lunch we headed about 3kms down the hill to Lake Bunga, which is said to be the 1st place in Australia to have had oil found on/in/around it!

Lake Tyers was close by so we also checked that out too, finding a nice jetty for a spot of fishing for Geoff later in the week.

Then after dinner we did a spot of stargazing for the 1st time in months. We saw a few satellites but the chairs weren't very comfortable for leaning back on, so we might try checking out the stars on the beach tomorrow or Wednesday night.

We also watched a late 70's Australian movie called Dimboola which the house owners have in their collection (OMG! SO tacky)...we'd stayed in Dimboola last April so wanted to check out the movie of the same name....!

HE SAID:

One of our many brushes with fame came when we stayed at the Dimboola Caravan Park last year. The bloke running it was in the movie Dimboola! How cool (unless you've seen it). He was one of the lads in the hay loft of a shearing shed watching a stripper de-kit. His mention in the movie's credits included him among the "Thanks to the people of Dimboola". So I suppose he's not realy famous. At all. Seemed like a nice bloke though.

  1. LOL!!! It's got to be the worst movie ever made!! We saw it as one of those theatre/dinner things that used to be so popular, the diners were the wedding guests. That was a lot more fun than watching the movie!!
