farewelled Greg & Val at the hospital, and headed to the airport in
the pouring rain.
A
celebratory drink at the bar was a good start to the trip.
A shame
Sydney Airport's signage is dreadful...we took ages to find out where
to get the shuttle to the hotel. But
we got here in the end.

I didn't sleep so well. It must be all the excitement of our big trip.
We had to celebrate at the Canberra airport, then it was our flight to Sydney. No problems. Getting from the domestic terminal to the hotel via a shuttle bus was a drama. We had conflicting information and poor signage to contend with. It must be nearly impossible for non-English speakers.
The hotel room was fine, but why is the toilet virtually open? I have seen similar designs in newer houses, and it is stupid. People usually avoid talking of what happens in there, so why would we want to make it ridiculously more public? For the view? No! For the sounds? No! Smell? No!
So WTF people? Stop this insanity!
