SHE SAID:

The weather improved on us today so we headed eastwards today, passing the oddly named Spanker Knob, on to Nowa Nowa then Orbost where we saw how the Orbostians in the 1800's lived & where to find the worst made egg & bacon (in Marlo) we have ever had!

The view of the Snowy Mountain River mouth was worth the drive at least!

We found the Cabbage Tree Palms walk though it wasn't much to see, but the trestle bridge back on our return journey to Lakes Entrance was worth the detour however!

Instructions on how to make the worst bacon and egg sandwich:
  • drive to Marlo and head for the hippie cafe with tackle shop attached,
  • order a bacon and egg sandwich with tomato sauce,
  • wait a bit,
  • try to eat what turns up (brown bread with no butter, no sauce, an egg dry-fried without any oil/butter, tasteless bacon).
I think cardboard would have tasted nicer.
