SHE SAID:

Another lovely autumn day in "the Rat" as the locals call Ballarat. Geoff & Aaron dropped me in the city so I could wander around the old buildings. Maddie had a friend over & they went to the movies.

Geoff, Aaron & I met up around 12 & went to check out a few historical sites in town, before lunch at KFC.

Poor Erica had to work today so we entertained ourselves & the kids in the afternoon till she returned.

HE SAID:

Reading about Ballarat's history was very interesting. The gold rush, Eureka Stockade, and Old Cemetery all got a look in, though it was a shame the Eureka Museum was closed (as we found out later, it hasn't actually opened yet. It is only 14 months behind schedule)..
