SHE SAID:

We are heading west today. We both want to check out Goondiwindi, because we have never been there before. It isn't exactly on our way home, but, well why not.

We named the road we took as the "Road-Kill Stretch". We've never seen so many dead 'roos! There is even a road sign warning you to slow down because of Kangaroo's, and one did jump out in front of us, but well ahead thankfully.

Both Geoff & I were pleasantly surprised with our brief look around Goondiwindi. We were expecting a dust bowl, tiny, dying country town, but it was busy, large & quite green!

Welcome to Goodiwindi....Apparently you are supposed to say GUNDAWINDI!

Even Archie wanted his photo taken!

HE SAID:

We are at the home of the Goondiwingi Grey, a race horse commonly known as Gunsynd. The horse won a Cox Plate and a Caulfield Cup, amongst other notable races; but I had to look it up.
