got a two hour leave pass to come home for a visit today.
He
was so happy to be back, & help celebrate Val's birthday. He
managed the walking well & we are all hopefully he will be home
for good soon.

Getting Dad to and from the hospital was a fair bit easier than I thought it would be. That's a good sign for future visits.
