SHE SAID:

It was a “big” day for us, with our final trip to London.

Firstly we went to the Amba Hotel at Charing Cross for the Faulty Towers theatre lunch. We went with Mum, John & his son Michael. The show was hilarious, and I had a sore stomach with all the laughing. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Then Geoff & I parted company from the others, as they were heading back to Horsham. We were meeting some friends to celebrate Denis' 50th Birthday out at Canary Wharf. Again another fun meal & evening, with a very late return to Mum's around 1.15am! (Late for us that is!).
Our lunchtime entertainment!

We only had our mobiles with us so the
photos aren't the best quality

John got dumped with the rolls,
when Basil stormed off...

So he started serving them!

 HE SAID:

The Fawlty Towers lunch was hilarious. Despite it being shown on TV in the 1970's, and us knowing the story lines behind all the sequences, it was a great afternoon of laugh-out-loud silliness.

The evening we spent with Varena's friend Celine, a colleague from way back in the mid-1980's, and Celine's family, as they celebrated Denis's 50th birthday. We all had a fun and chatty time, with several family members coming to London from Ireland and Isle of Man for the party. We managed to get the last train from London to Horsham, and got in about 1am.
