SHE
SAID:
Sue,
Al, Geoff, & I are heading out to Rotherfield to meet up with Mum
& John for lunch at the Kings Arms there.
We
are leaving our transport (the Merc) at the Frew house, for it to be
returned to Steve (Sue's cousin), so we needed a lift back to
Horsham. Therefore, I asked Mum if she would kindly come &
collect us.
Lunch
was lovely, the roast was excellent, lots of gravy & stuffing.
We
farewelled Sue & Al for the final time. We won't see them again
before heading to Oz. Then it was back to Mum's for our last week!

HE SAID:
Our last time with Sue and Al was fun. They are chatty and friendly, and we always catch up when we can. I think I owe Al a few beers when we next meet up.
I amused Sue no end as we pulled into the pub carpark. I thanked Al for driving by saying "Thanks Albert". Sue was giggling away over it for a while, then took it up again on the way out. It must have been a new thing for her, mucking about with people's names. I'd get Godfrey, Geoffro, Gethro; anything even remotely close. My nephew Jared gets Jay, Jazz, Jazzman, Jazzband; again, anything remotely close. So for Al (Alasdair) to get Albert was no big deal - except for Sue! Anyway, I was glad I could amuse.
