SHE SAID:

The main event today was dinner at was what “Crawley College of Technology”, where I did my training. Along with Geoff, Mum & John, my friend Shivhaun; who also did the same course, & her husband Dickie came along.

To say we were shocked is an understatement. The restaurant looked like a classroom; only a couple of other tables were occupied. The service was terrible; no training, no skills at all. The supervisor said the 2 girls training were doing a “cabin crew” course.

The food was fine, no complaints but the restaurant was basically TERRIBLE. I think if we had served at table like that when we were there our supervisor would have kicked us out!

The rather bare & boring restaurant.
VERY different from Shiv & my memories

Bistro night! Basic to say the least!

Trying to enjoy the sad evening, it was on a par with the
Faulty Tower experience only worse!
HE SAID:

As the Crawley College restaurant was a training restaurant I expected a glitch or two. But what we got was very funny, in a OMG way, and we will surely talk about it for days or weeks to come.

Despite the booking being confirmed by phone and email they still rang Varena on the night to see what was what. Paper table cloths and napkins were used. Wine bottles were not opened. Side plates and cutlery were dumped in a pile in front of a diner for self-distribution. Our vegetarian member of the group was served ham. Half of us had our entrée forgotten. It was just funny!
