& I had a trip to IKEA. It has recently opened up in Canberra.
Geoff was quite relieved that he didn't have to go, I think. I got the
umbrella I wanted to go with the outdoor furniture.
For
dinner we descended on Evan, & he made us chicken & pesto
pasta. With some expert tuition from Geoff! It was funny to listen
to them "arguing" about the procedures!

It always fun to catch up with Ev. Our differing opinions on how to cook a simple pasta dish was a surprise. I assumed that the Italians would have worked it out hundreds of years ago and was happy to follow the traditional methods. Not so with Ev. It was amusing, but more so afterwards, as at the time we were cooking I was trying to get him to do things to make the food edible, rather than experiment with wacky processes.
