We
got back to Canberra today, though no thanks to Cathay Pacific!
They
wouldn't book us through to Canberra, insisting we go to Sydney, but
there was no point us going to Sydney as we wouldn't have gotten to
Kath's till 5ish, only have the evening there, then have to make our
way back to Canberra on Friday lunchtime.
So,
Geoff just paid for us to fly with Virgin to Canberra, & we got
to Farrer at 5pm.
It
is good to be back.

Aaahh. It is good to be back. I grew up in The Can so to me it is always a good place to return to.
Our advice from Cathay about a 9:30am bus back to the airport turned out to be 11am. So, like us, all those other Cathay passengers at the same hotel were all sighted at breakfast at a café down the road at 7:30-8:00. Un-necessarily early as it turned out. Breakfast was good though.
So after leaving Horsham at lunch time on Monday it only took us until 5pm Thursday to get where we aimed for.
