Sunday 21st February 2016

Geoff & Val headed to the hospital, whilst I did some household chores.

They were both back for lunch & a couple of hours before heading back again to visit Greg. With it being a Sunday I stayed away as Greg will be having lots of family visitors & things get rather crowded & noisy!

Another stop on my Walkabout last weekend was the remains of
the Duntroon Dairy; the oldest surviving building in Canberra
Duntroon Dairy - Circa 1834
Mugga Mugga Cottage, on the opposite side of the valley to the Duntroon Dairy
The outhouses attached to Mugga Mugga Cottage
The cottage has been extended many time since it was originally built.
It is not a pretty looking place, but as it is one of the last
surviving cottage of the Duntroon Estate is it quite interesting
This was the kitchen - as was normal back then it was built separately from the main house, in case of fire

HE SAID:

Varena was right, it can get crowded and noisy when my family get together, even at the hospital. I bailed early to make it a bit easier for everyone. And it just happened to be beer o'clock!
