SHE
SAID:
A
rainy, drab day greeted us. No
orchid hunting planned because of the weather.
Our
only plan was afternoon tea over at Col & Pat's House (Megan's
parents place). They live a couple of streets away, so around 3pm we
walked up there. Geoff had brought some Guinness for himself &
Col to have, whilst I was more civilised, & had tea with Pat's
tasty tea cake that she had made.
Basking or watching for food? |
The turtle's shell looks like it is shedding a layer! |
Reeds on the swamp |
The walk around the camping area |
Size of the Morel Mushroom
that Geoff spotted
|
Someone has gotten the car all dirty again |
HE SAID:
Pat and Col are getting on a bit, nudging 90, but they are good company and up for a chat and a laugh. And as a Guinness drinker, Col is easy to get along with! Also, Pat's cooking is still going very well. The cake she made was very tasty.
