We
had a lovely sun-filled day, driving along the coast from Mylestom
to Sawtell, & Coffs Harbour.
The
wildlife was on show for us too. We saw dolphins from the lookout &
a turtle swimming around the wharf at Coffs Harbour. Lunch was a picnic at Park Beach on the Macauley Headland; dining with a
view!
And finally, I had to get a photo of another of Australia's “big
things”...the Big Banana. Apparently there are 150 of them across
the country; we have seen a fair few of them.
Back
in Bellingen I had a wander around the quaint town, & we watched
the sunset over the Bellinger River & bridge to finish off our
brief stay here.

More Idyllic views along the mid north coast |
Coast at Sawtell - we saw dolphins from here - several pods cruising by |
Coffs Harbour in the distance |
The wharf & a school of fish - they surrounded the girls & they freaked out! |
This turtle came up & posed for me several times |
Our lunch stop with a view over Park Beach |
Yes another "big" Australian icon!
(Not me...!)

There were dolphins, turtles, fish, and bananas on display today. And despite all the sun cream, wide-brimmed hat, and seeking shade, I still managed to get sunburned. It is very frustrating!
