SHE
SAID:
Again
it rained through the night...The Sunshine State...HA!
I
went Platypus spotting at around 6.15am, seeing 2 playing around in
the river; so cool to see. We
headed off around 9am, when the rain had subsided, to do a shortish
walk along Mickeys Creek; a pleasant walk, though we didn't see the
towering gorge cliffs I was expecting to see.
We
had dinner cooked for us by the resort; a huge roast, followed by
apple crumble & custard. That made a nice change for us. It was
the first meal they have done for the year, so I guess we were the guinea pigs. It was popular, with 20 people sitting down to eat.

HE SAID:
Well, the roast that the van park put on was good. There was plenty of both lamb and pork, with spuds, veg and gravy. It was a treat to get this in a van park, though it was a little unusual in that you had to BYO drinks, plates, and cutlery, so there was still some washing up afterward. But I recommend it to anyone heading out to Carnarvon Gorge.
