Today we did a couple of sightseeing things that were left on my list. The Rhodes Memorial, on the foothills of Devil's Peak, is a huge, slightly OTT memorial, which is either loved or hated. Cecil Rhodes is quite a controversial person.
Next we had a slow crawl up to Signal Hill; our little hire car is rather under powered, but it got there eventually. You get to see Seapoint and the city from a different angle up there, also the mad people paragliding.
We continued down into Seapoint and had a walk along the Esplande, then back along the main street (I used to go to Seapoint a fair bit back when I lived in Cape Town; more memory jogging here). That was the end of the day's touring; the rest of the afternoon was spent chillin' at the house.

Putting on a harness attached to a parachute and having two blokes grab you and fling you off a cliff does not look like fun to me. So paragliding is out.
