Sunday 1st April

SHE SAID :

I headed out today around 9.45am; I was meeting Nina at the Montecasino Bird Gardens around 10.15am. We had a very pleasant half day walking around the aviaries, watching the bird display, and having lunch in the "Italian" styled piazza.

There were birds from around the world, including several Australian ones. Quite a few I had never seen before, so the camera went mad again; well it has been rather quiet since our return to Joburg.

Nina kindly dropped me off at the loft, where I started on the photo culling straight away. Geoff returned from another full day's cricket. I think he was surprised it was still going.

HE SAID:

The South Africans could have made Australia follow-on, after our almost OK batting display, but didn't, batting us out of the game more and more with each run.

I replenished my energy from my toil of cricket watching with some amber fluid and tasty braai leftovers.
