Thursday 22nd April
With the cricket starting today I will be entertaining myself.
I dropped Geoff and Ramzie off at Newlands Stadium and eventually got to Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens (the traffic and road closures around Newlands was manic).
I spent almost four hours at the gardens. It was lovely, though again very different from my memories. I saw the Red Dias Orchid in flower in the conservatory; my only orchid for the trip so far.
Apart from collecting the cricketing boys that was my day.

HE SAID:
It was great to be at the famous Newlands ground, with a fairly balanced day's cricket. Cool.
