SHE
SAID:
We
headed out to a couple of waterfalls on the Oxley Highway today, east of Walcha, which is about 100km south east from Arding. The first one, Tia Falls, had
water & orchids! Well, the orchids were seeding & only basal
leaves, but something.
The
second one, Apsley, had neither water or orchids. The river above the
falls was just pools. But it was quite scenic walking along the gorge
rim.

Tia Falls...Not quite the size of the last falls we saw..
Victoria Falls in Zimbabawe!
|
|
The Tia River...also rather smaller than the Zambezi... |

Looking down the gorge |

Puddles at the base of Apsley Falls |

And pools at the top! |

HE SAID:
Another day exploring the area. I was surprised at how much water was flowing over Tia Falls, and equally surprised at the lack of water at Apsley Falls.
