Friday 29th June

SHE SAID:

For our final touring day of this house-sit I wanted to do the Armidale – Kempsey Road & check out Beech Point Lookout in the Cunnawarra National Park.

The Armidale – Kempsey Road follows the Macleay River for quite a bit of the drive, & it is quite scenic; There are some narrow stretches, & plenty of potholes to bump over.

Sadly, for the first time Beech Point Lookout didn't have any flowering orchids; well, we didn't find any. There were plenty of basal leaves, & several finished flowers only.

HE SAID:

Our last look around the district. We spent a fair bit of time on narrow, windy, dirt roads as we traipsed up and down from almost sea level to well over 1000m.
