Sunday 10th June

SHE SAID:

I had booked us into Dobson's Distillery for lunch today; it is about 20km south of here, but first we went to the Whyworry Winery & tasted a couple of nice red wines.

Very annoyingly, on our arrival at Dobson's we were told they didn't have a booking for us & the restaurant was full! I checked my email & it definitely says Sunday; then one of the waitresses piped up that they had a booking yesterday for a Varena... They had put us down for the wrong day! We were both very disappointed.

Returning to Uralla we ended up at Michael's Café on the main street. It was OK, nothing great. Everywhere was full; apparently it is a long weekend!

HE SAID:

We had planned our day around going to Dobson's. I was looking forward to trying some of their beers with my lunch. Our previous visit a few weeks ago had primed us to expect good things, so when they said that they had no room for us at all, without even apologising for their screw up, I was cranky as well as disappointed. We won't be back!
