Thursday 19th July

SHE SAID:

We headed to Kendall to check out the Community Markets, at Elaine's suggestion, but didn't find them! I assumed they were at the Community Op Shop but they weren't. Geoff did in fact point out a likely place, but all I saw was the Bendigo Bank & a few plants for sale & dismissed it! (He was right!).

Anyhow, we had Devonshire Tea at Miss Nellie's Cafe, another place suggested by Elaine & “old” Geoff.

The neighbours, Ingrid & Peter, dropped by for drinks around 4.30pm. We sat out in the “Al Fresco” chatting, drinking & nibbling on cheese, pate, & nuts for a couple of hours.

A few more Koalas seen on my travels around the area

This family of ducks seems to live in the street, & is quite happy wandering
around everyone's gardens; they have 10 chicks in tow!

HE SAID:

I still got scones with jam and cream for morning tea, but not from where we expected, And the couple of hours chatting with Peter and Ingrid over a couple of drinks late in the afternoon was fun.

On a sour note for me, I am trying to sell our generator on eBay as a Local Pick-up Only. Postage or freight would be exorbitant. I have come to the conclusion that solar on the van would be of more value, especially now that prices have come down. Also, restrictions and politeness mean we have only used the generator a few times over the last 10 years, since it came bundled with our previous Karavan (Eggbert). So, after being listed for a couple of days and picking up several "Watchers", fielding several enquiries, and having several automatically rejected low bids, an acceptable bid came through. But hot on its heels was a request to cancel the sale! WTF? Anyway, I allowed the sale to be cancelled and re-listed the generator for sale, quickly picking up another watcher and many views... And then it sold. Hooray! But after several hours there is still no payment. So watch this space.
