 Saturday 25th March

SHE SAID:

It was a cooler, cloudy day with rain in the afternoon; it amounted to 14.5mm, with plenty of thunder rumbling around from late afternoon.

I sorted the last couple of days' photos & did the diary, then went back to the orchid file sorting. I doubt it will ever end!

Me about to be attacked!

HE SAID:

I headed out in the light rain before 11am to Keith and Carol's place at Lower Boro. I had to look this place up on the map as I'd never heard of it. Their 32 acres are a fair way out from Bungendore, through Tarago, passing the Southern end of Lake George, and also passing Lake Bathurst. Both of the lakes are, unusually, quite full. We had a good look around Keith's block, avoiding a bogging at the several muddy bits, and also went for a spin in their brand-new Ford Ranger Sport 3litre, which is the ute that has come out on top of my short-list for replacements for our Colorado; so I was very interested. The new Ranger has loads of bells and whistles, was impressive to drive, but the main reason I wanted a go in it was for towing. The reported towing ability is about a third better than our current car, but with similar fuel consumption.

Apart from cars we discussed many topics, had a beer at the bar in his man cave, played a game of pool, had some tasty barbecued fillet steak, and it was an all-around good afternoon. Carol's son and grandson are currently living there too, with the son being a Lego nut, who buys kits for his son (Travis), but assembles them himself.
