Geoff & I headed out to Balingup for a drive. We have been here before, but the annual scarecrow show is on, plus the Golden Valley Tree Park is there. At this time of the year the leaves are changing colour as autumn approaches; beautiful reds, oranges & yellows & I wanted to see them.
As I headed along the Oak Tree walk, in the Golden Valley Tree Park, meandering through the colourful leafed trees, I got quite homesick briefly around the Oaks. Many had already dropped leaves & acorns, & the rain had brought up the damp smell & it so reminded me of England! Quite a surprise!
We found quite a few scarecrows around Balingup Village; some on the side streets, which I hadn’t seen before. I got quite a few photos for the Blog, so it was a good morning!

Varena's idea of a country drive was a good one. It is nice to get out and see different things sometimes. I managed to avoid most of the Oak Tree Walk, as the weather was awful just then. Varena was not put off and headed out into the light rain solo. I caught up with her near the end after the sun came out!
