SHE SAID:

I managed to spend most of the day at the house, for a change.

Geoff went for a walk, just for a leg stretch; it was a lovely day, & got up to 24C.

We did venture out in the late afternoon, over to Gary & Dorte’s place. They had invited us for dinner, along with Gary’s friends David & Michelle. 

It was a trifecta of fires night. The outside brazier was lit just before sunset, then the kitchen stove & the lounge fire were both lit for dinner. It was nice & toasty, no jackets required.

It was a lovely evening & we “staggered home” about 10.30pm.

relocated to the bench whilst we cooked the fish.

Our evening at Gary and Dorte's was a fun night. Gary and his friend Dave have known each other since they were about 4 years old, so they have an obvious connection. I hijacked Dave a bit when he asked about our caravanning and house-sitting experiences, as they have thoughts of doing something similar. Hopefully, I gave him the good oil, and hopefully he remembers, as we'd both had more than one beverage by then! Anyway, Dave and Michelle were good company, as were Gary and Dorte, so we had a tasty and enjoyable evening.
