I met up with Murray & Jen, who kindly showed me their spots for orchids in Aug/Sept in the Wandering Conservation Park. We will be back this way in mid- September, so hopefully they will be able to show me around then, too.
Back at the house I got the flights to Japan & back from England sorted out. The trip is now on! I still need to do the “filler trip” to Italy, but I am drained from all the research & will leave that for another day! Plus, the bank balance needs a rest, too!
There is signs of colour coming in the bush now |
Bannister Liberty are "taking a liberty" with the price of their fuel. Down the road at Williams it is $169.9! |
HE SAID:
There were a few jobs to do while Varena was out, but nothing exciting. However, a mirthful moment of hilarity happened just before bedtime. I was cleaning my teeth at the basin in the bathroom when the water spout burst upwards, clattered onto the vanity unit, and I was showered with water from the fully exposed outlet. Luckily, I could quickly turn off the tap, but this was a new experience for me! Varena came in, wondering what all the noise (and swearing) was, then she burst out laughing as I dripped water all over the floor. I'm glad we found it funny, and that the water was not hot. There was no way I was going to fix it tonight. Tomorrow will have to do.
