Saturday 30th March
SHE SAID:
Both Mum & I woke up feeling rather ordinary this morning. I had a sore, scratchy throat & Mum was feeling all snuffly & bunged up. After chatting with Julian & Kiyoka we decided to modify the days arrangements & take the train & monorail out to the west of Tokyo.
The hopes were that we’d seen Mt Fuji, but the mist/smog was pretty much shrouding it. We walked around the area that Julian & Kiyoka were married. And, there were also 2 of the old temples that she is affiliated with there.
Lunch was also at a temple-related cafe, which still had the COVID restrictions on the seating, with partitions between the tables up.
Geoff & I were very happy to hear dinner was going to be at one of their favourite Ramen Restaurants; it was good.

Mount Fuji evaded us again. But, I managed to get a curry sandwich, which was rather amusing. The ramen place gave us a quick, tasty meal. I doubt we were there an hour.
