SHE SAID:
Martina & Ric had invited us onto private property to look at a burn; we met up at Pinjarra. Also, Aly, Nathan & Felix came along. I was surprised that the property was at the southern end of Scarp Rd, where Geoff & I looked early last week without any luck.
The slope to the river proved very colourful, loads of Forest & Rose Fairies & hybrids, in every shade you could think of. There were a few other orchids but nothing exciting. We were done looking around by 11am.
Geoff & I decided to return to Bouvard; he had a big day of sports on TV ahead of him. The others headed south.
HE SAID:
We were prepared for a day out, but searching the orchid area took less time than we thought it would, so we headed back to the house. I had set recordings of the Wallabies vs All Blacks, the AFL Preliminary Final between Geelong and Brisbane, and the ODI against England. Despite being at the house I needed the recordings so as not to miss bits when I did other things, and it it was mostly successful, except for the recording of the AFL match cutting off with 3 minutes remaining in a very close match! I was fuming! These automated recording settings are crap!
