SHE SAID:

Nikki & I had a mega day out again, but we found 30 different flowering orchids, which made the long day worthwhile.

We checked out Crooked Brook, the corrugated Church in Kirup (which despite many drives through Kirup we had never seen) & an area to the west of Manjimup. All locations had orchids. I didn’t contact Geoff with an ETA till 6pm, which had him a little concerned, I think. Too busy driving & not thinking about the time!

HE SAID:

Varena was off at some early time in her continuing orchid quest. I, however, stayed in bed. There was a little cricket to stream, and a couple of shows to watch after I had done my usual tasks. 

Today was one of those days where I assumed that Varena was out of mobile range a lot. We usually communicate several times a day but today it was quite limited. I think it was partly due to her being out of signal sometimes, but also partly due to her enthusiasm and chatting with Nikki. She was home just before 7pm, bearing an Aldi pizza, which went down well, especially as we added extra flavours and cheese, as is usually needed with supermarket pizzas.
