SHE SAID:
I was wide awake around 6am, & had been clock-watching most of the night; most annoying.
Today was the field trip to the Collie area. It was a small group of 5 WANOSCG members & a lady from Parks & Wildlife. The 2 target orchids were not located in new habitats, despite plenty of searching. We did find lots of other orchids, though.
Our finds for the day reached 17, with a few less common sightings, including White Pink Enamels, & one of the target species, the Dwarf Bee, in the known area.
I got back to a lovely roaring fire around 6pm.

HE SAID:
With the return of Peter and Jenny a little over a week away I've been doing a few preparatory things around the house and yard. Today was hosing down the verandahs around the house. Not exciting. My Uncle Paul rang for a bit of a chat, but he seemed to have forgotten that we were going over to Byron Bay next week to see him and to mark his 90th birthday. Hmmm. Dan also called, so we had a chinwag as he drove back from work in Canberra to Kayla's place in Goulburn, where he now lives. He seems really happy with things at the moment, even saying that maybe he should get Kayla a ring!
