I managed to pull a muscle in my back yesterday so I’m cautiously moving around today. It doesn’t seem to be too bad this morning. Standing up doing some cleaning & cooking seems to have helped. Getting old, not fun.

The rain returned around the middle of the day. We had quite a heavy downpour & scattered showers though I doubt the BOM will record that we had much. It seems wildly off in its predictions & what actually happens!

With just a few days to go before Peter and Jenny return to Bouvard one of the chickens is seemingly unwell. This hen is just sitting around on the ground, and she only moved when I had to step past her to collect eggs. I looked up this situation but there are so many possible scenarios and causes, and also remedies, that I think I'll just see how it goes for now. Peter and Jenny must almost be at their European departure airport, so contacting them about this is fairly pointless. Hopefully there will be some improvement tomorrow.
