Sunday 12th January

SHE SAID:

Apart from doing the hand watering around the garden & Skyping with Mum I didn’t have any other things to do.

I continued trying to learn how to use the spreadsheet that Geoff had kindly started for me. He managed to import my orchid list to it & now I have to get it how want it. I don’t have a clue how it works so poor Geoff is getting bombarded with “help me” wails!

I also looked at the status of my UK National Insurance enquiry. I now have a Government Gateway log-in, which wasn’t available to overseas people 2 ½ years ago when I began this process. It is currently saying “in progress”, but I can get a response date now too, which is 9th May 2025! They received my 3rd or 4th letter (it's getting to be a blur now!) about this on the 29th July 2024! OMG, this is SLOW, putting it mildly!

Ho Hum, waiting, waiting!

HE SAID:

It is my sister Kathy's 60th birthday today. Yet another reminder... She is coming to WA next week so we'll have a celebratory lunch next weekend.

When I woke up this morning there was a message on my phone from the Ford app advising me that a tyre on the ute was severely underinflated. I grabbed my dressing gown and went straight out to the car and ... nothing. There was no problem with any tyre. Three tyres were the same pressure, and one tyre was one PSI higher, and that is the one that I had been notified of. Frustrating, but I guess a false positive is better than a false negative.

Google wanted me to jump through some annoying hoops to commence the compensation payment process for the Pixel 4a that they had damaged. It wasn't difficult, just needless. There should be a payment of about $80 coming sometime.
