Sunday 5th January
SHE SAID:
More moving of our bits & pieces to the van, cleaning, vacuuming etc. today.
Geoff was glued to the cricket, which ended quite rapidly in the end, I think.
Our replacement, Deshia, arrived in the late afternoon. We showed her around the house, chickens, & property. We had done a checklist up for her, as we had found it a little overwhelming for our first few days, remembering everything. She seemed very grateful for that.
Mum & I Skyped at 6pm. She said they had had a light sprinkling of snow, which was soon washed away by rain. Yuck!

HE SAID:
The fifth test against India wrapped up in a bit of a rush, with Australia taking plenty of wickets, then making short work of the required runs for victory. The five test series was won by Australia 3 - 1, and we are now certain of a spot in the World Test Championship match at Lord's in June, versus South Africa. As Varena and I will be in the UK at that time I submitted an expression of interest in going into the ballot for tickets. I have my fingers crossed!
