Thursday 23rd January

SHE SAID:

There was a smattering of rain through the night, probably less than 2mm, but something. It is still hot & quite sticky.

I made some ANZAC biscuits for morning tea.

Other than that, short burst of activity; I was worked on the orchid file again. This spreadsheet may well turn out to be good but at the moment I’m pretty much totally relying on Geoff's help to do anything! I’ve never used them before & keep stuffing things up or have no clue how to do what I want to do with it!

HE SAID:

Mmmm, ANZAC Biscuits. They are very tasty, as usual.

I started cutting up the fallen branch, with the usual problems when using other people's equipment. This bloody chainsaw needed a few sessions of TLC before I could finish the cutting. It is a fairly old, and well used, machine, but I assume that Kieran knows its quirks, and I don't. Anyway, the cut bits I cleared away to the firewood pile out the back of the shed, and the leafy bits got dragged up to the burn pile. Job done!
