SHE SAID:
We farewelled Deshia before 9am hitting the road to Vasse, via Bridgetown & Nannup.
The morning tea stop in Nannup was a nice break, then it was onwards to Vasse. I had arranged that we would go straight to the house, drop Bertie off there around midday, then head off to Dorte & Gary’s, then to the Vasse markets to get a few basics.
It was just after 2pm when we returned to the house sit & began our initiation on the tasks we will need to do whilst here for the 4 months. It is a very nice, large house, on 5 acres or so.
Colleen whipped up a nice dinner & we sat chatting, eating, & drinking like we’d known each other for ages.

HE SAID:
Deshia jokingly asked us a couple of times if we really had to depart; I think she was stressing a little about looking after the chooks. But from what I saw she'll be fine.
Apart from some very bouncy sections of road we had no problems getting to Vasse, nor with our brief side-trip. Back at the new house-sit we went over the house management items before settling in for a few drinks and a tasty frittata for dinner.
