Today I suggested we check out the Nautical Car Show / Rally down at the beachfront in Busselton. It didn’t start till 11am so we weren’t in any hurry.
I won’t bother going again. I was expecting “lovingly restored” classic early 1900’s cars not boring 50-year-old “boys' toys”. Plenty of engine revving, sounding like hiccups or badly attached exhausts, & not much to photograph. DISAPPOINTING!
The rest of the day was cool & quiet, though Geoff was happy that Australia were finally playing some more cricket.

Show cars & the oldest vehicle, a motorbike... |
HE SAID:
An outing sounded good, so we headed into town and went to the waterfront. It's a nice place to visit, and we enjoyed a bit of a walk as we headed to the car show. The cars though, were not what we expected. There were lots of souped-up buzz-boxes, a few fairly recent Mustangs, some older vehicles from my childhood years, but no really old cars. I thought that there would be 1920's, 30's 40's or so era vehicles, all restored and beautifully presented. But there was not one. Oh well. We had a little outing and a pleasant walk.
