It is Geoff’s ¼ birthday today; 14 ¼ to be precise!

We had lunch at his choice of venue, the Meelup Farmhouse. I was surprised at this choice, but it was lovely, & we both ate way too much.

Back at the house Dorte & Gary came over around 4.30pm to help celebrate Geoff’s ¼ day & have some birthday cake. I was asked to make the Salted Caramel Cake which I made a couple of years ago & Geoff really liked. It went down well with everyone.

My day was excellent, with a very tasty lunch at a new place, yummy cake, and then a few drinks and an amusing, chatty few hours with Dorte and Gary in the late arvo.

Australia's ODI against Afghanistan was called off due to rain without enough overs bowled in Australia's chase, even though we had been scoring at about 10 runs per over. Oh well. The single point for the draw means that we still progress to the semi-finals next week, but may be a little under-done due to two wash-outs in a row.
