Thursday 13th March

SHE SAID:

We got the final few things done before Jacqui & Mick’s arrival, then headed for the airport around 1pm. They had already landed when we got there, ½ hour early!

We took them back to the house & had a cuppa & homemade Alfajores Biscuits, then took them on a tour to the Busselton foreshore & jetty.

The weather was threatening rain & we got back to the house not long before the skies opened for the first time this year (for us here!). We sat outside enjoying the rain till the leaking roof drove us inside, where we had a grazing dinner of cold meats, cheeses, pate, smoked salmon, biscuits, & bread.

Rain clouds approaching...
Pouring with rain... & some thunder

Moody grey skies at the Jetty

Dinner time, yummo!

HE SAID:

The house was ship shape and we made it to the airport just a few minutes before Mick and Jac emerged into the terminal, even though they were early. It was a pleasant wander around the foreshore, then a quite impressive downpour of over 20mm in a short time, with a few rumbles of thunder thrown in. Mick and Jac didn’t seem too happy that the first day of their holiday had rain, as they have had a rather wet time in the Blue Mountains the last few years. We assured them that it was unlikely to rain again on their trip, as we have only had that one rain event in the last four months!
